365-Day Challenge
Whether I was ready for it or not, a new year has arrived. I did not make a New Year’s resolution because I know I would never stick to it. However, I realize I must handle my business affairs differently this year than I did previously.
To get started in the right direction, I joined Tiffany’s 365-Day Challenge. It deals with accountability. Meaning, if I claim I will write according to a daily schedule, I must follow through and actually get the tasks completed. Afterwards, I must post my progress in the thread Tiffany started on the Warrior forum.
Today is Day 5 of the challenge and I am holding myself accountable and keeping up with the writing schedule I originally posted over on the Warrior forum.
Now, this does not mean that I cannot miss a day here and there, but if I do, I need to double up on the work the following day to get back on schedule.
As life goes, there are certain events that we have no control over that would be damaging to a person who is trying to stick to a daily routine of production writing.
Things happen when you least expect them to (and at the most inopportune times, I might add), but how you deal with these issues will make all the difference in the world.
It is not a big deal if you fall behind. Sometimes, life gets out of control. If this is the case, just attend to the problem and pick back up where you left off.
Say Good Bye To Procrastination
I have witnessed plenty of procrastination. Trust me when I say – I suffer it from time to time, too. However, that does not mean that all is lost. You need to move from point A to reach point B. Procrastination is a habit you can overcome.
Again, it comes down to how you deal with setbacks that makes all the difference. My dad used to say, the horse will buck you now and then, but the experienced rider always gets back on. I think that is a good philosophy to adopt and put into practice.
Tell me, how are YOU doing with productivity so far in 2012? If you feel you need some accountability to be productive, why not hop over to the Warrior forum and join Tiffany’s 365-Day Challenge?
It would be nice to have someone else watching my back and I promise to help keep you on track too! Together, we can make 2012 our best year ever!
To your success,
